A certified athletic therapist specializes in assessing, treating, and preventing athletic injuries. In your first visit you can expect a consult to discuss your medical history and any injuries you may have sustained. I will test your range of motion, do strength and joint testing as well as do palpation to assess tissue damage or areas of concern. I will create a personalized treatment plan for you. This will include an acute care plan for rest, immobilization, cold therapy, etc. We will progress with soft tissue release, manual mobilization, stretches, joint mobility, muscular strengthening, and proprioceptive and neurodevelopmental training among other specialized techniques.
