If you have edema or swelling due to strenuous activity, an injury or post surgery, Lymphatic Drainage Massage may be the service for you.
Your treatment will begin with a one-on-one assessment to analyze the reason you are seeking this type of treatment. This is your opportunity to explain your recent injury or surgery and to point out the areas of swelling that need to be worked on.
Your therapist will start by focusing on the main areas of the lymphatic system, which include the neck, abdomen, armpits, hips, liver, and kidneys. They will use a light, flowing, and repetitive touch to guide lymphatic drainage. The treatment itself is extremely gentle and lotions and creams are typically not even required. If your therapist has extra time they can provide standard therapeutic massage to release tension in your muscles or offer relaxation.
