Therapeutic/Sport/Relaxation Massage

A major benefit of therapeutic massage treatments are their ability to focus-in on muscle-tendon connections, dramatically improving hip-flexor range of motion, and leading to significantly decreased post-workout muscular trauma. Distinct treatments are quite varied, and are commonly sport-specific, leveraging different techniques depending on each individual’s impact profile.

Myofascial Cupping Massage

As the name implies, this is the practice of placing slightly heated cups on your skin to stimulate blood flow and promote healing. The cups are typically made of glass, although other materials can be used. The practitioner will quickly pass a flame into the cup; just long enough to heat the air within, and then place the cup, open face down, on your body. As the air within the cup cools, it creates a vacuum which pulls your flesh up and inside. The procedure leaves a painless, circular mark which disappears in a few days, whereupon you can return for another treatment.

  • 45 Minute  – $85
  • 60 Minute – $100
  • 75 Minute – $125

Sport Taping

In the case where an injury has already occurred, sport tape can be applied to help ease pain. Regular white tape can also be used to support and stabilize the injury, and to prevent further damage by reducing force on the area.

Plantar Fasciitis Massage

Plantar Fasciitis Massage

Plantar fasciitis is normally the result of repetitive strain, affecting people who run or walk often or over long distances without the proper footwear. Less frequently, plantar fasciitis can be caused by a single heavy blow to the ligament. This is a common injury amongst novice skydivers. In both cases, tiny tears (called micro tears) appear in the ligament at the site where it attaches to the heel bone.
