On a day where the rain held off and we enjoyed sunny breaks at the Legends Golf Course, the Audrey Poitras Golf Tournament brought together the community in support of the Métis Nation of Alberta. This annual event, named in honour of Audrey Mae Poitras, the first female and longest-serving president of the Métis Nation of Alberta, celebrates heritage, excellence, and community spirit. Audrey led the organization from 1996 until 2023, and also serves as vice-president of the Canadian Métis National Council. Additionally, she joined the Board of the Canadian Executive Service Organization in 2004, showcasing her long-standing commitment to advocacy and service.

This year, we were proud to be part of the event, providing free chair massages to golfers as they waited to tee off. Our goal was to offer therapeutic massage treatments that ensured participants felt their best on the greens and often resulted in longer drives down the fairway. It was a unique opportunity for us to connect with the community and give back in a meaningful way.

The tournament brought together golfers of all skill levels, united by a common cause: to support the Métis Nation of Alberta. Participants enjoyed the beautiful setting of Legends Golf Course, taking in the scenic views and the camaraderie that defines this event. As golfers prepared to take their swings, we were there to help ease any tension with our complimentary chair massages.

The day was a resounding success, filled with laughter, friendly competition, and a shared sense of purpose. We are grateful for the opportunity to support the Métis Nation of Alberta and to be part of such a wonderful event. We look forward to continuing our efforts to give back to our community and to celebrate the achievements of those who inspire us.

In conclusion, the Audrey Poitras Golf Tournament was more than just a day of golf; it was a celebration of community, heritage, and the spirit of giving back. We are honoured to have played a part in this special event and are committed to continuing our support for the Métis Nation of Alberta and other community initiatives in the future.
