Welcome to the 33rd Annual CRR Edworthy Park Cross-Country Event
Race 4 of the 2024-2025 Grand Prix Series
Join us for the 2024 CRR Edworthy Park cross-country event, a long-standing tradition celebrating its 33rd year! This exciting race is the fourth event in the 2024-2025 Grand Prix Series and promises fun for all ages.
Event Highlights:
- Kids’ Fun Run: A short and enjoyable race for little ones, ranging from 0.3 to 1 km.
- Mass Start Races: Choose between the 4 km or 8 km races for an invigorating challenge.
Parking Details:
Please park in designated lots, along the curb, or at the gravel parking lot north of the park entrance. Note that the CRR Club is not responsible for ticketed vehicles, so plan accordingly.
Race Start Location:
The race begins near the south entrance of Edworthy Park, about 100 meters from the Thomas Percival parking lot (South Edworthy Park). If arriving via Bow Trail, head north onto 45th St., turn west onto Spruce Drive, and drive three blocks west to reach the park.
Pro Tip:
Edworthy Park’s cross-country route is famously icy, so be prepared! Spiked XC runners, studded shoes, or pull-on cleats are recommended to ensure safe footing. Keep an eye on the weather and select your footwear accordingly.

Isabelle and Philippe are the dedicated Race Directors for this event. If you’d like to help, please reach out to them! Volunteers or contributions such as soups greatly lighten the load for our RDs.
Post-Race Meal & Social:
After the race, join us at the Bow Cliff Seniors Centre (3375 Spruce Drive SW, Calgary, AB) for a warm and welcoming gathering.
- Menu: Hot soup, rolls, and beverages will be provided.
- What to Bring: A dessert to share with fellow participants and your own mug, bowl, and spoon to help reduce waste.
