The BAR-KA-KOO ULTRA & RELAY

The BAR-KA-KOO ULTRA & RELAY is scheduled for November 23, 2024, at the Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area in Parkland County. This challenging trail race covers a total distance of 55 kilometers, consisting of five 11-kilometer loops. Participants must complete the course within a 10-hour cutoff, with the fourth loop required to be finished by 8:00 pm. The terrain is approximately 75% technical single-track, and the event is largely self-supported with minimal course markings.

Registration Fees:

• Full Moose (Solo): $55 Early Bird; $70 after September 28th
• Half Rack (2-Person Relay): $100 Early Bird; $130 after September 28th
• The Herd (5-Person Relay): $225 Early Bird; $275 after September 28th

All participants will receive event-branded swag, and finishers will be awarded medals. The event is capped at 100 participants.

Event Schedule:

• 11:00 am: Package pick-up, map review, and strategizing
• 12:00 pm: Race begins
• 8:00 pm: Loop 4 cutoff

The start/finish area will feature a participant warming tent offering soup, tea, coffee, and water. Participants should be prepared for varying weather and trail conditions. Outhouses will be available on-site, and the park will remain open to the general public during the event.

A portion of the net proceeds will be donated to Little Warriors, a national charitable organization focused on the awareness, prevention, and treatment of child sexual abuse.
