A sub-ultra is any trail race shorter than a marathon—yep, it’s that simple! These races are quickly growing in popularity within the running community, and this event is the first of its kind in Calgary. “It’s fun because it’s all about short and fast trail racing, which is what I love,” says Hoka-sponsored trail runner Allie McLaughlin from Colorado Springs.
