Nicole Bablitz-Parker
Nicole Bablitz-ParkerFounder an CEO
I founded Athlete’s Choice Massage because I realized there was a lack of options for massage in Edmonton, and I wanted to ensure people had a place they could turn to for high-quality, professional help. A massage enthusiast with a passion for business, it’s my goal to ensure we are not only exceeding your expectations, but attaining the highest standards in every aspect of your experience with us. If there’s anything at all that I can help you with, feel free to reach out to me.

Zoe K. – Registered Massage Therapist

I graduated from a 3000 hr Massage Therapy program at Makami College. I have always been passionate about finding ways to treat the body naturally, I believe with the correct treatment and guidance our bodies can heal themselves effectively. Being an avid rock climber, and practicing yoga daily, I understand how important it is to keep our bodies performing at their optimum level. My focus is to relieve the pain at its source through a variety of different techniques & stretches.

Brooke F. – Student Massage Therapist

I am currently a student in my 2nd year at Makami’s 3000 hour Diploma program. Although I am relatively new to massage therapy I have found a genuine passion for it, as well as how the body works and finding solutions for clients problems. I have both a medical and athletic background. Adding this to my education has made me successful in providing therapeutic massage and understanding the influence that massage therapy has on treatment and recovery.
I look forward to working with my clients not only on a personal level, but to assist in helping them lead their best life while maintaining a healthy, active and pain free lifestyle. I will achieve this with the following techniques:
  • Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF)
  • Deep Tissue Techniques
  • Trigger Point Therapy
  • Reciprocal Inhibition
  • Swedish Relaxation
When I’m not in the clinic you can find me somewhere hiking in the mountains, cycling or at the rink shooting pucks.
I look forward to meeting you!

Kristy L. – Registered Massage Therapist

I graduated with honours from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in 2016. I am an active member of the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta (MTAA) and am working towards becoming a Certified Sports Massage Therapist through the Canadian Sports Massage Therapists Association (CSMTA) of Canada.
My interest in becoming a massage therapist began when I attended the World Championships for Canoe Polo, as a spectator, in France (2014) and Italy (2016). I noticed the prevalence of injuries (repetitive and trauma) on the team and wanted to help. I was fortunate enough to work with some of the national team players and understand the importance of massage therapy for treatment, recovery and prevention of injuries.

My philosophy as a therapist is simple – to assist you in living a pain-free, active lifestyle. Every individual who I see will receive a custom treatment, based on what I am presented with, along with home-care exercises to expedite the healing process.

If you are visiting me for the first time, please be aware that I will take the first minutes of your first treatment to do a thorough assessment. The assessment includes basic questions about your chief complaint that are essential in deciphering if and how I can treat you. My initial assessment may also form the basis for subsequent treatments.
Techniques/modalities that I like to incorporate, include:

  • Hydrotherapy (hot or cold)
  • Myofascial work
  • Swedish relaxation techniques
  • Deep Tissue
  • Trigger Point Release
  • Fire cupping
  • Joint mobilization
  • Specialize in TMJ disfunction and release

I love to road/mountain bike, cross-country/downhill ski, run, swim, kayak, lift weights, hike, and couldn’t imagine a life without sports! Several short-term goals of mine include doing a cycle tour along the Alberta Parkway from Banff to Jasper and getting a dog to be able to take up skijoring.

I look forward to meeting you!

Michelle B. – Registered Massage Therapist

I’m an RMT graduate of MaKami College with 3000 hours of training. I am very passionate about what I do and approach treatment with a holistic mindset. It is my practice to educate clients with an understanding of what is going on – that’s something I have personally appreciated when being treated by a healthcare professional. As a cyclist, snowboarder and amateur climber, I’ve had my share of crashes and repetitive stress injuries. I’ve had many physically demanding jobs as well. These experiences, along with my training, have given me a true understanding of the importance in treatment, recovery and prevention. Many people unfortunately live with their pain, but our bodies have an amazing capability to recover and heal; we therapists are here to aid you in that process. It is my personal goal to assist you in achieving yours.

Some of the techniques I find effective are:

  • Assisted Stretching
  • Deep Tissue
  • Joint Mobilization
  • Myofascial Cupping
  • TMJ release

  • Cross fiber friction
  • Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF)
