Reflexology works with the pressure points in your feet, hands, and head. The therapist applies pressure to these extremities, this sends a soothing message from the peripheral nerves to the central nervous system. The body is instructed to adjust tension levels which in turn will increase blood supply, help internal organs function optimally and enhance overall relaxation. The effects can be found throughout the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, immune, and neuropeptide systems of the body.

What to Expect During Your Reflexology Appointment

If you’re looking to address stress, tension, fatigue, poor circulation, or general imbalance in the body, Reflexology may be the right choice for you.

Your appointment will begin with a comprehensive assessment. This includes a discussion of your chief concerns, relevant health history, lifestyle factors, and any symptoms you may be experiencing throughout the body. Your practitioner will then perform a focused physical assessment and when appropriate, may consider related postural or tension patterns to better understand areas of imbalance. Together, you’ll establish clear treatment goals to ensure the session is focused, effective, and aligned with your expectations.

Based on the assessment findings, your practitioner will utilize a combination of reflexology techniques applied to specific points on the feet, hands, and head that correspond with different areas of the body. These techniques are designed to encourage deep relaxation, support circulation, and help reduce stress-related tension patterns. Each treatment is fully customizable, and pressure can be adjusted at any time to ensure your comfort and optimal therapeutic benefit. Open communication is encouraged throughout the session so adjustments can be made in real time.

To support lasting results, you will receive personalized home care recommendations, such as gentle self-massage for the feet, hands, or scalp, hydration, stress management strategies, and general wellness suggestions. Before leaving, be sure to speak with your practitioner about the ideal timing for your next visit. This collaborative approach empowers you to take an active role in your recovery and overall well-being.

What to know

Before Your Visit

01

Arrive Early

A few minutes before your appointment lets you complete paperwork and settle in before treatment begins.

02

Eat Light

Avoid heavy meals for 1–2 hours beforehand. A light snack is fine — an empty stomach can cause lightheadedness.

03

Stay Hydrated

Drink water before and after. Hydration helps flush out waste released during treatment and reduces post-session soreness.

04

Dress Comfortably

Wear loose-fitting or athletic clothing that allows free movement. Your therapist will advise on draping based on your treatment.

05

Communicate

Share your concerns, injuries, and goals before the session starts — and keep the dialogue open throughout so adjustments can be made in real time.

06

Rest After

Skip intense activity after your session and give your body time to integrate the treatment.

07

Follow Aftercare

Your therapist may prescribe specific stretches, exercises, or self-care strategies. Following through ensures the best long-term results.

08

Medical Clearance

If you are pregnant, undergoing cancer treatment, or recently injured, consult your healthcare provider before booking. Your safety comes first.
