Starting my wellness journey over a decade ago, I first turned to healing practices such as yoga to help deal with the chronic pain I was experiencing within my physical body. Upon the realization of the deeper healing that was happening within, I became hooked. During my BSc at the University of Alberta I enjoyed studying earth sciences, psychology, business and select topics from the Arts faculty which have helped to shape my current philosophies around healing, the natural world and the power of the mind. I completed my 200 hr yoga teacher training in the spring of 2017 with the Sattva School of Yoga. Since then, I have taken numerous workshops to deepen my understanding of how I can better serve my students and clients. All yoga sessions focus on developing alignment, strength and connection between the body, mind and breath, an invaluable tool for any health and wellness journey.
