Calf Pain

Symptom – Are you experiencing Calf Pain?

The calf muscles, including the soleus and gastrocnemius, propel the heel up and forward. These muscles help us run, walk, and jump. However, injury or overuse can lead to calf pain. Your muscles may feel sore. It might hurt to walk, run, or jump.

What is causing your calf pain?

Calf pain may occur for a number of different reasons. A strain in the soleus or gastrocnemius muscles may cause pain or discomfort, making it difficult to walk. Injury to the achilles tendon might be to blame. And occasionally, blood clots or calf cramps may be causing pain in the calf area. When we lack proper hydration or haven’t taken the time to stretch properly after an intense workout, the calf muscle may become tight. In turn, this can lead to the common calf cramps. These can happen suddenly during the night or day.

What can you do to relieve your calf pain?

Stretching can frequently help, especially in calf cramp cases. For other injuries or conditions, it’s important to get a proper diagnosis so that you don’t aggravate the problem any further.
