Team & Sport: Curling — Team Plett (Team Canada)
Chloe Fediuk’s introduction to curling wasn’t love at first slide — but it didn’t take long before the sport became a defining part of her life. Growing up watching her mom, grandma, and aunt on the ice, she first tried curling at age 8. After quitting before Christmas that season, a heartfelt conversation with her grandma inspired her to give it another shot the next year at a new club. That decision changed everything.
“Ever since then, my life has revolved around curling,” Chloe says. “I love the people in the sport and all of the friends and coaches I’ve had the privilege to work with. I’ve had amazing opportunities to travel and see so many different places — this sport holds a special place in my heart.”

Overcoming Challenges
Like many high-level athletes, Chloe has faced her share of bumps along the road. Injuries have occasionally kept her off the ice, but she credits effective treatments, a calm mindset, and consistent recovery work with helping her return to play as quickly as possible.

Inspiration & Motivation
“My mom is my motivator and biggest supporter,” Chloe shares. Her family’s encouragement has been a cornerstone in her career, pushing her through tough days and celebrating her milestones.
Future Goals
Looking beyond her university years, Chloe has big ambitions — and big confidence. Her goals include representing Canada at the Olympic Games, winning the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, and competing at the Women’s World Championship.

Life Outside the Rink
When she isn’t training or competing, Chloe stays active in ways that recharge her both physically and mentally. She’s often working out at the gym, and in the summer you’ll find her golfing, camping, swimming, or hiking — always embracing the outdoors.
Performance & Recovery
As a high-performance athlete whose body is constantly in motion — whether training in the gym or on the ice — Chloe takes recovery seriously. Massage has been a key part of her routine to optimize performance and speed up recovery, along with physiotherapy and chiropractic treatments as needed.

Words of Advice
“Try new things outside of your comfort zone!” Chloe encourages other athletes. Her journey is a reminder that growth often starts just beyond where we feel comfortable.
What’s Next
This fall, Chloe begins a new chapter as she starts university at Concordia University, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, followed by an after-degree in Education — further proof that her passion extends far beyond the curling rink.
